Dried Farts
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Occupation: Technical management. As in, I manage ~50 technologists that develop consulting solutions for one of the largest high tech companies.
Family: Married with 3 teenagers.
History: Raised in Queens, NY, eventually earning a BS in Biology from CCNY. Headed west to Phoenix to pursue a MS at ASU but, halfway through my degree, went absolutely broke and got a job as a computer jockey for a mining company. I’ve managed computer installations in mining, direct marketing, aerospace, and, for the last 17 years, high tech.
Hobbies: I spend my working hours in cubicles and windowless conference rooms. Whenever I can, I’m hiking (did Grand Canyon last year), kayaking, or scuba diving (the attached ‘fun’ picture is from San Carlos, Mexico). I do a lot of scuba out of San Diego. Really like dive connections (www.gottadive.com). This last summer I had a great dive off Point Loma. Also a VERY big fan of Catalina Island. Would like to hear more about where a local diver goes!.
Name History: My grandmother was quite a character. If you asked her what’s for dinner, she’d often say ‘dried farts and gravy’. She’d say other things, too, but they’re not printable.
